2020 has been anything but an ordinary year that impacted us very badly due to the novel coronavirus. With the extensive change to the smartphone launches that were supposed to happen before, will be launched this year as per the schedule. Even, some stuff will never change as they might be launched at different times, but we have the flagship models to arrive from Asus, Oppo, Sony, OnePlus in the next few months and Apple & Samsung models to arrive later this year.
We are going to see the 5G technology which will come as a standard feature in all low-range and budget phones apart from the flagship smartphones. We will see more screens with 144HZ refresh rates, which is good for gaming and video making. The camera in these models can pile up the extra megapixels with additional sensors that we haven’t seen previously.
The foldable smartphone designs are getting cheaper & durable and battery technology is constantly improving too. We have also seen software improvement, which makes us even more annoyed for Android 12 and iOS 15. And some rumours say that Huawei’s new OS software can break the smartphone market in the coming April.
In this blog, it is defined that what all smartphone launches are expected to take in 2021 and later, it is also described with new features and hardware specifications. As we near the launch, the outgoing flagship models may fall in price and you will get some great deals.
The new smartphones that will be coming in 2021 and later,
Asus ROG 5
Normally, Asus announces their ROG phone launch in the summer, before launching it in Europe by September. But for this time, they are shifting the launch schedule for the ROG 5 with a launch already set for 10 march. Rumours say that Asus is launching ROG 5 directly without launching the ROG 4 because 4 is an unlucky number in China. This ROG 5 model will come with Snapdragon 888 chipset and has a design that suits gamers. It also completes with an angular new mini display right at the back of the phone.

The next flagship model from Huawei will be the P50 series and expected to be launched in March 2021 only if the company follows the regular launch process. We can expect to see three models – a P50, P50 Pro, and P50 pro plus. The prices will go high for the range-topping model. It should be powered by the 9000 processor which is usually found in the mate 40 phones and will slightly obtain some of those camera features. They are the first Huawei phones to use 120HZ panels.
Motorola Edge S
Motorola had launched its flagship model called Moto Edge S in china, but the company did not confirm a global launch. We know that a company named this model Edge in China, rumour says that it will be named as G100, where they put this model in the upper end of the budget line. This model will be featured with a powerful Snapdragon 870 processor, with a 64MP rear camera, a 5000mAh battery, and a 6.7inch 90HZ retina display. It will also feature a full screen like iPhone 11 range. It may also be featured with a Touch ID in the power button.
